The second edition of the Park's new festival was held with great success in December 2008. Featuring a variety of great performances, the response from audiences and the media was extremely encouraging, and bodes well for future editions of the festival.

60 SECONDS DEEP by Jaimini Pathak – Museum Theatre A play of wit, fun and modern life - the story of 4 standard sized lives and 4 larger than life dreams
2nd to 6th Dec ’08 Spirit of the City by Pascal Monteil – Park Hotel -: Exhibition of portraits of musicians, dancers and other cultural personalities from Chennai and India by French photographer Pascal Monteil. This year the Park’s New Festival will have a workshop conducted by Padmini Chettur on 4th Dec on contemporary dance with dancer Probal Gupta and local, traditional and contemporary practitioners. The intention is to engage in discussing the new in contemporary and traditional dance. Plans are also afoot to hold out reach programmes at various colleges and institutes.
